HAProxy<\/strong> stands for High Availability Proxy.\u00a0 It is a very fast and reliable solution for high availability and load balancing. HAProxy<\/a> is used as TCP\/HTTP Load Balancer and for proxy Solutions. The HAProxy application will share the workload with multiple servers.<\/p>\n

Steps for Installation and Configuring\u00a0 HAProxy<\/strong>
\n===========<\/strong><\/p>\n

Step 1<\/strong>: Before proceeding with the installation of\u00a0 HAProxy in the server, we need to install the epel repository on our system depending on the operating system version using the following command.

\nCentOS\/RHEL 6 , 32 bit:
\nrpm -Uvh http:\/\/dl.fedoraproject.org\/pub\/epel\/6\/i386\/epel-release-6-8.noarch.rpm<\/em><\/p>\n

CentOS\/RHEL 6 , 64 bit:
\nrpm -Uvh http:\/\/dl.fedoraproject.org\/pub\/epel\/6\/x86_64\/epel-release-6-8.noarch.rpm<\/em><\/p>\n

Step 2<\/strong>. Install HAProxy using Yum<\/p>\n

yum install haproxy<\/p>\n

Step 3:<\/strong> Configure HAProxy<\/p>\n

The configuration file of haproxy is\u00a0 \/etc\/haproxy\/haproxy.cfg and modify the configuration file as per our requirement.<\/p>\n

vi \/etc\/haproxy\/haproxy.cfg global<\/em><\/p>\n

Step4<\/strong>: Start the haproxy service using the following command<\/p>\n
