Cloning a VPS means exactly reproduce an existing VPS onto another. Cloning a container creates a complete copy of the existing container with different container Id and path.

cloning is done in open vz using ‘vzmlocal’ utility.

vzmlocal :

options:

-c retains the source container
-s quick cloning
-d source container is destroyed after cloning
-l allows to clone locked containers
