To ensure the security of your RunCloud account, relying solely on a strong password may not be sufficient. Implementing two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of protection, significantly enhancing your account’s security. Two-factor authentication (2FA) is a security method that requires two distinct forms of identification to access an account.
To activate two-factor authentication (2FA) on your account, navigate to the Account Settings page as depicted in the image below.
From the settings page, navigate to the Authentication page:
Click the “Enable Two-Factor Authentication” button, and you will be presented with a series of instructions.
You can either scan the QR code using an authenticator app like Google Authenticator or manually enter the code displayed below the QR code into the app. Once you’ve completed this step, a six-digit code will be generated. Enter this code in the third step to finalize the activation of two-factor authentication for your account.
That’s it—your account is now secured with two-factor authentication!Note: It is highly recommended to download the recovery code. If you lose access to your 2FA device, the recovery code will be essential for regaining access to your account.
